Mongolian desert landscape at golden hour
Our Story

Born from the Steppe

Private expeditions across the world last wild horizon.

Why We Exist

Mongolia, Unfiltered

Amuun was born from a simple frustration: Mongolia's most extraordinary landscapes were inaccessible to the kind of traveller who would truly appreciate them. Not inaccessible by distance, but by design — overloaded group itineraries, generic ger camps, and guides who recited the same script to every visitor.

We build six private expeditions per year — no more. Each one is shaped around a single party, a single season, and a single question: what does this landscape reveal when you slow down enough to listen?

What Travelers Say

The stillness on the third night in the Gobi was something I had never experienced. Nomin and her team knew exactly when to speak and when to let the landscape do it.

James Whitfield · UNITED STATES

We came for Naadam and stayed for the guides. Saraa introduced us to a Kazakh family in Olgii whose hospitality redefined the trip. Every meal was a lesson in something.

Ji Young Park · SOUTH KOREA

My wife and I have traveled to forty seven countries. Amuun Altai expedition ranks in the top three for pure landscape and top one for guide quality. Tuvshin adapted the route daily based on weather.

Klaus Weber · GERMANY

Small group, but each guide knew our names, our dietary needs, our pace. Erdene pointed out fossils at Bayanzag my guidebook missed entirely. Authentic expertise, not a script.
